The internet has a large influence on our society today, therefore it is important to understand how it all got started.

In 1969 computers from Stanford and UCLA connected which made them the first hosts of what would become the internet. Next in 1971 the email was created by a man named Ray Tomlinson. After the creation of email came the creation of

TCP/ IP in. It started by someone suggesting to link Arpa-like networks into a so called "inter-network". A man named John Vittal devolped the first modern email program in 1975. By modern email i mean he added the "reply" and "forward'

functions. In 1976 Robert m. Metcalfe designed Ethernet which allowed a cable to transfer data very fast. If you zoom ahead to the present it is amazing to see how much the interent has grown. == Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9hIQjrMHTv4 -more detailed information
